30/10/17 – Years 3 and 4 Tag Rugby at Farringtons

On Monday 30th October, Miss Ayling and Mr McCabe took two teams along to Farringtons school to participate in some friendly Tag Rugby matches. It was a particularly chilly afternoon, and the children were particularly keen to get started quickly!

The Year 3 children worked well as a team, especially as this was their very first fixture of the term. It was a particularly tense game with the score constantly changing! The team worked hard to improve their passing as the game continued, but unfortunately Farringtons just managed to score a last minute try leaving the final score as 12-13 to Farringtons.

The Year 4 team worked as a collective as soon as the first whistle blew. They kept up with the quick pace of the opposing team and made sure that everyone was being passed the ball. It was also very hard to keep up with this game with both teams scoring some excellent tries. The final score was a respectable 7-7.

Well done to both teams who showed great teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the afternoon. Thank you to Mr McCabe for coaching the teams. We look forward to booking some more fixtures in!
