Co-Curricular Statement

At West Lodge we term the wide range of activities and opportunities open to our children outside the classroom as the ‘co-curriculum’.

We want to excite our children inside and outside of the classroom to provide new experiences and enhance academic development. These aims are not separate, they are inter-linked as we seek to provide the children with as broad an education as possible. These experiences help to develop character and ensure your child will grow into a happy and rounded individual with a diverse range of interests.

Many of the skills developed through co-curricular activities are directly transferable to the academic arena. These include problem solving, teamwork and performing under pressure in front of an audience, not to mention the self-confidence that success in these activities can give.
