We pressed hard when they had the ball to win it back and number 4 took the opportunity to score again! It was now 2-0 and our heads were up higher, ready to go again.

The other team was playing well and putting up a battle in defence but not enough for number 11 to take it off them, play it to number 4 who passed it back to make it 3-0!  The half time whistle blew and we all gathered in for a team talk with our coach. 

We quickly ran back on the pitch ready to start the second half.  We were playing uphill now so it was harder but we didn’t let it deter us, we were determined to win.  Our defence were solid clearing anything that came their way.  Team spirit was high, everyone encouraging one another every step of the way.

Number 12 won the ball and ran and ran until she scored to make 4-0.  Soon we had a corner and number 11 curled it round to the edge of the box to number 4 who hit the ball in the back of the net achieving a well deserved hatrick.

The final whistle blew and we were delighted with the result (6-0) and, most importantly,the way we played.  Thank you to Our Lady for a great match.
