Sports Roundup - February 2024

Whilst having the chance to participate and enjoy playing sport is the priority at this age, it is great to win too, and our teams have been incredibly successful since the start of the year, losing only a couple of matches.

Our U11 footballers defeated Uplands 1-0 in a tight league match and the netballers won 7-2 in the High 5 Bexley league.

The U8 footballers enjoyed a triangular tournament with Benedict House and Merton Court beating Benedict House 4-0, Merton Court 2-0 and Merton Court again drawing 2-2.

On Monday 29th January our girls’ football team played Dulverton in the semi-final of the Bexley Cup. The girls competed with great credit, particularly with their spirited defending against a very strong Dulverton team. At full-time they lost 4-1 but played very well and are to be congratulated upon reaching the semi-finals.

On Friday 2nd February our U11 netballers travelled to Broadstairs where they put in a fantastic performance at the ISA Regional Finals.  Winning 5 out of 7 games they secured a place in the National Finals.

Our Year 4 children enjoyed their first football match of the season against Merton Court, competing well and showing considerable potential. Well done and a good first effort losing narrowly 2-1.

With lighter evenings after half-term we look forward to more fixtures and the regional cross-country championships in Sevenoaks.
