School Journey

The School Journey for Year 5 and 6 pupils is often cited by students as a highlight of their time at West Lodge.

The School Journey operates on a two-year cycle.  One year sees Year 5 and 6 pupils visit France and the following year they visit an outdoor pursuits centre on the Dorset coast.

France

This week long residential trip allows the children to use their French language skills, visit sites of historic importance that they have studied in their lessons, sample French cuisine (crêpes and ice cream are always a firm favourite!), grow their independence, challenge themselves and use their Learning Powers in a different context and, of course, enjoy time with their friends.

It also provides the opportuntity to challenge themselves and put into practive

My favourite memory of my time at West Lodge was going to Parc Asterix on our School Journey.

Osmington Bay

My highlight of the School Journey was the giant swing as it had a fast and exhilarating drop.  It was the perfect balance between fear and fun!

My favourite moment was the trapeze, because when you jumped off the platform it was like you were flying in the air.
