Christine has extensive teaching and educational leadership experience in a variety of settings including independent, grammar and state schools.

"I studied Electrical Engineering at university and then taught in a technical college in Zambia as a volunteer (VSO).

We moved to Sidcup in 1981 and after fostering for 3 years I went to Avery Hill College to complete a 1 year PGCE. I then taught Mathematics and Physics at Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School for 12 years. During that time, I was a Parent Governor for 8 years as my two children also attended the School.

In 1999 I moved to Eltham College and taught there for another 12 years, becoming Head of Girls.

I also spent 8 years  as a co-opted governor at Bedonwell Infants School from 1998 until 2006 where I spent some time as Chair of the Finance Committee.

I was invited onto the Board of West Lodge in 2011 and became Chairman in 2016.

I thoroughly support the ethos of West Lodge and I have supported Headteachers through periods of change".
